Jaqueline
Jackie Cormier has always had a special bond with animals. Her passion and dedication to care for them were evident even as a young girl. Her family and friends could see that it was a mutual love because she was happiest when she had any type of living creature cradled in her arms.
In 2004, Jackie finally found her calling with animals while working at a pet store. She noticed that there were dogs up for adoption, getting no attention from potential owners solely based on their scruffy appearance. Armed with a compassionate heart and a pair of clippers, Jackie taught herself the basics of grooming in order to give the pups some much-needed makeovers. Shortly after, the dogs found their fur-ever homes all thanks to her help!
She continued to perform these extra duties and realized that transforming the animals and giving them the pampering of a lifetime quickly became her calling. In 2005 Jackie became a professional pet stylist. Her natural talent and love of all animals excelled her throughout her career, having managed several salons in Calgary, Alberta over the next six years. With more experience under her belt, she knew it was finally time to move back east and pursue her dreams.
In July 2017, Jackie proudly opened her very own grooming salon, Paws N Noses!
Whether you see her work on Facebook, Instagram, or walking down the street - it’s no surprise that Jackie’s styles turn heads wherever they go! With a strong commitment to giving her furry clientele the ultimate spaw experience, it’s no doubt that Paws N Noses is becoming Moncton’s best-rated and most beloved pet salon!
Jenna
Jenna has been grooming for almost 10 years and absolutely loves it! She takes pride in her work and it shows! Always open to learning new tricks and wanting to have the best knowledge possible in the trade, she keeps up to date with all the new trends and can truly transform a pup from a shaggy rag a muffin to a new dapper pup ready to walk down that red carpet! She is well versed in all breed cuts from the crisp hand scissored poodle to perfectly rounded Yorkie faces.
Jenna has a lifetime of love for all animals.
She’s been mentored & by Jackie’s side from the very beginning of her career in the industry.
She enjoys spending time with her family including her 2 cats Luna & Nova, her three dogs Gypsy (small Lab mix) and Jaxson (large Lab mix ), and 4 lb Yorkie Kali.
Melanie
Mel has been grooming for over 19 years. She has a very gentle touch & always honours the dogs in her care to give them the utmost pleasant experience she can by putting in a touch of flair on their hair!
She loves them all big or small she really enjoys & is well versed in all breed cuts. She is great with puppies just getting started to older senior dogs needing special handling.
Melanie enjoys time in the outdoors from going for hikes to canoeing and spending time with miniature pinscher Aden her chickens and her family
We are so happy she joined our team in June she truly is a gem!
Joylena
Joy has been grooming for almost 6 years and has a profound love for all animals! After moving here from BC, she joined our family in June 2021. She has a thirst for knowledge and always wants to learn the new trends when It comes to making them look & feel they're most fabulous.
She’s well versed in everything from teaching puppies to learn handling for the first grooms, working around the needs of a senior pet, and sculpting beautiful teddy bear faces on doodles.
With a soft spot for special needs and senior pets, her patience and love for every pet she grooms are incredible! She truly sees the best in all dogs and she excels at her craft while loving them all as they were her own!
Joy loves spending time at home with her 4 cats while also enjoying the outdoors with her husband and her adopted senior dog Rippin, who’s always up for an adventure!
Jaya
Jaya joined us in March 2023 as a part time groomer. She’s a University graduate and has her diploma in Veterinarian technician. She’s worked in the grooming field since 2019.
While still working part time as a Vet tech at the Elmwood Animal Hospital, Jaya discovered the creative side of grooming. She’s now a full time member of our family and loving the bond she built with her clients.
She’s always ready to give us a hand when anyone needs help while doing it all with love & giving the pups a more than pleasant experience!
On top of being compassionate with the animals, she is also a Fear Free Certified Professional.
We’re very fortunate to has someone with Jaya’s knowledge on our Paws & Noses team!
Nancy
Nancy is our very own professional dog bather. She joined us during the madness of COVID after she was came in the shop to give us a hand. She had been put off from her full time job in the service industry and ended realize she had a hidden talent in the grooming world.
She decided to brand herself mémère since all the groomers had been calling themselves matante. Afterall, she is Jackie’s (the owner) mother. We all decided it suited her well since she does treat the pets like they were her grand kids.
Since our reopening she’s stuck through it all with us with an open mind and lots of dedication to work hard and truly enjoys pampering pets in their bubble baths, de-shedding, etc. She is the “Fluff and Puff Queen”. She can straighten out a curly coat like nobody’s business. After all, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Although she’s only been with us for a short period of time, she’s realized her happy place was at the grooming salon.
She’s organized and always ready to give us a hand when anyone needs help while doing it all with love & giving the pups a more than pleasant experience!
